Mary Lou Morgan Mary Lou Morgan, who founded the KVA and was the head coach at Manhattan High School a total of 17 years, where her teams qualified for state 13 times, finishing 4th four times, 3rd three times, 2nd twice, and winning a state championship in 1986. Coach Morgan has a career record of 499 wins and 151 losses. She served as a guest speaker at numerous coaching clinics in Kansas and Nebraska and also at the national level, and also received Coach of the Year awards in 1980 and 1981.
